Getting test HBAR on Hedera
Testnet faucets are run on a best-effort basis and break constantly: domains lapse, TLS certificates expire, rate limits tighten, and faucet wallets run dry. We re-check every HBAR faucet daily and record the cause of failure, so you can tell a dead faucet from a temporary blip before you waste time on it.
Faucets we can verify on-chain show the dispensing wallet's live balance and last payout — proof they're funded, not just reachable. For the rest, a "working" result means the faucet's page responded; it can't prove the tap has funds.
